FrontDesigner is intended to help you design front panels for different types of electronic devices. Even though the program is free, it is actually intended to serve as an interface between the end user and the manufacturer. The product's interface is characterized by its Spartan look, similar to those of other CAD tools. Fortunately, there are no hidden tools so you can use it without much difficulty provided you have the required technical skills. Good news is that it is accompanied with excellent help documentation.
The program lets you design front panels quite freely. For this purpose, there are drawing tools for various shapes, like polygons, rectangles and circles, which you can engrave, milling and creating cavities. Likewise, there is an ample library of symbols. The tool supports importing HPGL files. Similarly, it can generate G-code, which is automatically uploaded to the servers of the manufacturer. Good to hear that the costs are automatically calculated.
All in all, FrontDesigner allows you to design your own front panels without the need to hire a third-party specialist. Luckily, there are no costs resulting from its use. However, it has limitations as to sharing your designs with other similar programs.
